Enough already

Seriously, folks, is this really necessary? I mean, c'mon.. enough is enough people.

People once thought that about Ironman, too. I guess. When do you start training? (ha,ha)

I did some looking online to find out a little more about it... Apparently there's another one in Mexico that is a deca triathlon - 10 X iron distance...

I have a friend that did this a couple of years ago. It was a huge deal. A bunch of fellow tri club members jumped in a van and followed him around as his support crew. It was cold and rainy which led to hypothermia landing him in a hotel room for a hot shower and some sleep.
He got back out there but
unfortunately, he missed the cutoff time with a marathon to go.

His dedication to the training was amazing. There were times he did an Olympic distance triathlon before you and I even get to work in the morning. Hell, when you have to register for an ultra-marathon as a training run, your race is too long !

But all the power to ya :)

Extreme is just a relative term. I bet there are plenty of people that think you're own level of training is crazy too.

yeah, like my mom.

Bottom line - no matter how "extreme" you might think you are (using you as a generic term), there's always someone out there that's more "extreme" than you.

Remember, everyone's challenge level is different. This one makes sense. After you've done a few IM's, why stop there?
